Float switches are not necessary for these fully automatic pumps. Monitored by computerized operation, the pump switches on every 2.5 minutes for about one second when water is present. If the pump detects a resistance, it continues to run until all water is removed. The power consumption in monitoring or testing mode is minimal and does not need to be taken into account for this series.
